Dr. Vassili Joannidès de Lautour

Dr. Vassili Joannidès de Lautour is a senior higher-education leader with more than 20 years of international experience in doctoral education, assessment governance, and institutional quality systems. He has designed and led final-thesis and capstone frameworks across multiple institutions worldwide, with a focus on academic rigor, consistency, and defensible evaluation standards.

He served as Director of the Doctoral School at Grenoble Ecole de Management and led the first DBA program established in Europe. He has taught at Columbia University and has worked extensively with faculty and leadership teams on dissertation quality, program governance, and outcomes-based assessment.

He is the Series Editor of the Palgrave Studies of Accounting and Finance Practice and a former member of the doctoral-program steering committees of AMBA and EFMD. He advises institutions on quality assurance and policy implementation in the era of generative AI. He also hosts a public methodology channel where he translates research design and thesis standards into practical guidance for students and faculty. He works in six languages.
